Log on to the computer using library/library
Open google Chrome and type in
www.pixlr.com
to your browser
Click on the left hand option “Pixlr Editor > Launch Web App”
When it opens, click on the 2
nd
option: open image from computer
In the pop up browser, scroll down the left hand side to school shared
In School Shared, click on ART
In ART, click on 7
th
grade
In 7
th
grade, click on PORTRAITS
LOOK for YOUR PICTURE
Either double click your picture, or select your picture and click open
Once your picture opens, you can crop it so it is just your face
Select the CROP Feature on the left hand side
In the upper bar, you will see it says no restrictions. Click that and select output size to keep the same ratio
Select your face using the crop, then hit apply
If you mess up, you can press Ctrl+Z or click in the upper bar under Edit<undo
OLD PHOTO FILTER
Once you have selected your size, we will turn it black and white’
On the upper bar, select Adjustments < Old Photo
POSTERIZE
Upper Bar< Adjustments < Posterize
Write 3 or 4 in the posterize options – you want to get to 4 points
SAVING
File < Save
Rename file : your name _posterize
You will save it on the computer as a jpeg, so don’t change anything else, just hit OK
In the box that pops up, click school_shared < Art< 7
th
grade< Portraits to Print
Click save
PRINT
IF YOU ARE COMPLETELY DONE AND HAVE GOTTEN AN OK FROM ME, you may print 2 copies to the computer lab printer
File < Print
Select Computer Lab Black and White
Select 2
Print FULL SIZE, and choose not to cut off the edges
Keep the printed images in your locker or give it to me
